4/21/15: Bonner End of Year Ceremony & Senior Presentations of Learning
CNU Bonners, administrators, community partners and community sponsors attended the Inaugural Bonner End of Year Ceremony on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in the CNU Ballroom. This inaugural event celebrated our first cohort of graduating Bonners. The evening's festivities included remarks from CNU President Paul Trible, Center Director Brad Brewer, Provost Dave Doughty, Community Partner recognition, and Senior Presentations of Learning.
3/15/15: One City Marathon
CNU Bonners rallied the campus to come out and support the Inaugural Newport News One City Marathon. The students (including CNU's Pep Band!) supported the runners and showed them just how much CNU loves its community and neighbors!
2/20-2/21/15: Second Year Exchange
Sophomore Bonners headed to Williamsburg, VA for their Second Year Exchange cornerstone experience. CNU, University of Richmond and Lynchburg College Bonners met for a weekend of camaraderie, collaboration, community building, and civic engagement activities. As part of the exchange, the Bonners attended the annual Active Citizens Conference held at the College of William & Mary which provided a wide-variety of civic engagement workshops and speakers.
12/14-12/21/14: Junior Journey to Ecuador
Our junior Bonners headed to Quito, Ecuador from December 14-21, 2014 for their third year capstone experience. They stayed in the capitol of Quito, visited village 235, and gained valuable international perspective to apply to their service work and lives.
