4/21/16: Bonner Year End Celebration and Senior Presentations of Learning
We said farewell to our Senior Bonners - our B2s - at the Second Annual Bonner Year End Celebration on Thursday, April 21. It was a gala evening as we celebrated our second class of Bonners - true pioneers of our Bonner Program! The B2s gave their Senior Presentations of Learning and we were honored to have Bonner President Bobby Hackett deliver the keynote address.
2/19/16 - 2/20/16: Second Year Exchange
Sophomore Bonners headed to the University of Richmond for their Second Year Exchange cornerstone experience. CNU, University of Richmond, Washington & Lee and Lynchburg College Bonners met for a weekend of camaraderie, collaboration, community building, and civic engagement activities. As part of the exchange, the Bonners attended the annual Active Citizens Conference held at the College of William & Mary which provided a wide-variety of civic engagement workshops and speakers.
12/13/15 - 12/20/15: Junior Journey to Ecuador
Our junior Bonners headed to Quito, Ecuador from December 13-20, 2015 for their third year capstone experience. They stayed in the capitol of Quito, visited Village 235, met with former Ecuadorian President Sixto, and gained valuable international and cultural perspective to apply to their service work and lives.
10/10/15 - 10/13/15: First Year Pilgrimage to Tennesee
Freshman Bonners went on their First-Year Pilgrimage to Tennessee. Bonners studied community development and cultural awareness through the lens of the four "P"s - People, Place, Process, and Progress - as they visited Nashville, Memphis and Chattanooga.
